  • ‘Don’t sell our Snowy Hydro’ a poem I wrote to protest against the proposed sale of Snowy Hydro was read live on air with Alan Jones.
    The poem became an anthem of sorts that was used in the media campaign and subsequent rallies to stop the sale. It featured in many newspapers and media across Australia, was broadcast on radio several times and was posted on various websites.

  • One of five Australian finalists – “Australian Bush Poem of the year”  – ‘High Country Dreams…’

2009 

  • Winner ‘Broken Ski Award’ – ‘Mother Snowy – Live or Die???’              Snowy Mountains of Music Festival
    I was interviewed on ABC radio by Helen Clare after winning the ‘Broken Ski Award’ and was subsequently asked to be an occasional panelist on a new ABC radio segment called ‘Fair Dinkum Families’ with Helen Clare 11.15am Sunday mornings.
